Plant-tone is Espoma's original all-purpose organic plant food, made from a rich blend of natural ingredients and enhanced with humates and Bio-tone beneficial microbes. It has been a standard for organic gardening since 1929.

Use it on flowers, vegetables, trees, and shrubs for bigger blooms, faster growth, and greener foliage, with long-lasting, slow-release feeding that won't burn or leach away.

  • Garden beds: mix 4 lb. per 100 sq ft into the top 4 inches of soil.
  • New plantings: mix 1 cup into the backfill soil.
  • Established shrubs: 1 cup per foot of branch spread (double for spreads over 3 ft).
  • Established trees: 3 lb. per inch of trunk diameter (double for trunks over 6 in).
  • Flowers & vegetables: 1 cup per plant, monthly during the growing season.
  • Potted plants: mix 2 cups per cubic foot of soil; feed established plants 1 tsp. per 3 inches of pot diameter, monthly.
  • Trees & shrubs: feed in spring and again in late fall.
