• Established palms: feed 4 times per year at three-month intervals. Calculate the area beneath the branches and apply at a rate of 3 lb. per 100 sq. ft. (about 1 cup per 10 sq. ft.). Sprinkle evenly around the drip line and mix into the soil.
• Established hibiscus: apply per plant size (Very Small 1/4 lb / 3/4 cup, Small 1/2 lb / 1.5 cups, Medium 1 lb / 3 cups, Large 1.5 lb / 4.5 cups), sprinkling around the drip line and mixing into the soil, keeping 6 in. from the trunk. Water thoroughly.
• New plantings: dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Replace 1/3 of the backfill soil with compost or peat moss and mix in 1 cup of Palm-tone before planting. Water thoroughly.
• Potted plants: sprinkle 1 tsp. of Palm-tone per 4 in. of pot diameter into the soil along the outer edge of the pot; double the rate for pots over 12 in. Water thoroughly.
