Espoma Organic Lightning Lime is an ultra-fast pelletized lime that corrects soil pH on lawns, gardens, trees, and shrubs. It combines pure calcium carbonate with a proprietary blend of organic humic and fulvic acids that helps convert calcium into an immediately available form.

Lightning Lime works up to five times faster than ordinary pelletized limestone, adjusting soil pH in as little as 6 to 8 weeks, and its low-dust formula makes it easy and clean to apply.

  • Lawns: apply 6 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. to maintain soil pH, or 12 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. to raise soil pH (also use the 12 lb rate for new seedlings, overseeding, or new sod installation).
  • Shrubs: apply 1 cup per 2 ft of plant diameter. Trees: apply 5 cups per inch of trunk diameter.
  • Vegetables: apply 30 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. before or after planting.
  • Apply to a dry lawn with a drop or broadcast spreader, overlapping slightly to avoid striping; water after application to activate.
  • Best used in spring, summer, or fall when turf is actively growing; do not apply to frozen ground.
