Espoma Lawn Food is a premium all-season fertilizer formula designed for safe, easy lawn feeding, backed by over 90 years of Espoma's organic gardening experience. Its slow-release nitrogen blend keeps grass greener for longer without the burn risk of conventional fast-release fertilizers.

Formulated for cool- and warm-season lawns alike, it's suitable for established turf as well as new seeding and sodding projects.

  • Apply to a dry lawn that has recently been mowed, using a drop or broadcast spreader; overlap slightly to prevent striping.
  • Water lightly after application if rain isn't expected within 24 hours.
  • Established lawns: feed at a rate of 3 1/3 lb. per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • New lawns/overseeding: feed at 3 1/3 lb. per 1,000 sq. ft.; seed can be sown the same day as application.
  • Sodding: apply to the finished grade soil before installation at 3 1/3 lb. per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • Feed any time grass is actively growing — cool-season lawns 3-4x per year (early spring, late spring, early fall, late fall); warm-season lawns 4-5x per year (late winter through fall).

Ingredients

Derived from poultry manure, methylene urea, ammonium sulfate, urea, sulfate of potash, ferric oxide, and elemental sulfur. Also contains non-plant-food active ingredients: 6,000,000 CFU/gram total of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus subtilis, and Paenibacillus polymyxa (1,000,000 CFU/gram each).
