Espoma Organic Holly-tone is the original plant food for acid-loving plants, formulated with a complex blend of natural and organic ingredients including elemental sulfur to help acidify soil over time. Since 1949 it has been the go-to feed for hollies, azaleas, camellias, evergreens, rhododendrons, and other acid-loving trees and shrubs.

Enhanced with Espoma's proprietary Bio-tone beneficial microbes, Holly-tone breaks down gradually for safe, long-lasting, slow-release feeding that won't burn or leach away.

New plantings: mix 1 cup of Holly-tone into the amended backfill soil at planting time.
Established shrubs: apply 1 cup per foot of drip-line diameter (double the rate if the diameter is over 3 feet).
Established trees: apply 1 lb. (3 cups) per inch of trunk diameter (triple for trunks 3 inches or larger), placed in holes around the drip line.
New garden beds: mix 10 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. into the top 4-5 inches of soil.
Established garden beds: apply 5 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. and water thoroughly.
Feed twice per year: full rate in early spring, half rate in fall.
