Garden-tone is Espoma's all-natural, organic plant food formulated specifically for herb and vegetable gardens. One pound equals approximately 3 cupfuls.
Soil Preparation: Apply 3.5 lbs. per 50 sq ft and work into the top 4-5 inches of soil; mix in organic matter (compost, humus, or peat moss) when possible.
Feeding Vegetables & Tomatoes: Feed seedlings and transplants 1 week to 10 days after planting. Single plants: sprinkle 1/3 cup per plant. Rows: sprinkle 1-1/3 cup each side per 5 ft. of row, or 10 lbs. each side per 100 ft. of row.
Methods & Frequency: Apply in a single band around single plants, or alongside rows keeping 3 inches from the stem. Feed monthly throughout the growing season and always water thoroughly after feeding.
