The Durvet DuraMask Fly Mask in Draft Horse (XXL) size protects your horse's eyes and face from flies and other biting insects while allowing clear vision through the soft mesh. Sized for large draft horses of roughly 1,600 lbs and above, it keeps the biggest breeds comfortable all season.

Fleece-trimmed edges and a hidden double-locking fastener under the jaw provide a snug, rub-free fit that stays in place.

  • Repels flies and other biting insects
  • Clear-vision mesh design for unobstructed sight
  • Soft fleece-trimmed edges for a rub-free fit
  • Double-locking fastener hidden under the jaw
  • XXL Draft size for horses 1,600 lbs and above; made in the USA

To put the mask on, first open the double locking fastener. Gently place the mask on the horse’s face with the ears and forelock showing through the top opening. Secure the double locking fastener under the jaw; making sure you allow a couple of fingers width between the fastener edge and the horse’s throat latch. Be sure not to make the mask fit too snug; you should be able to easily slip your finger between the mask and your horse’s face. When you’ve fastened the mask with the correct amount of snugness and checked for fit elsewhere, look carefully from the front, side and rear of your horse’s head to be sure it clears the eye from every angle whether his head is lowered or raised. The fabric of the mask needs to stand out well away from the eye, giving total clearance to the eyelashes -the eyelashes should never be poking through the mask. The mask’s lower edge should reach one to one and a half inches below the bottom of your horse’s cheekbone for best coverage.

It is recommended to remove the mask nightly and check your horse’s face and eye condition.
