• New garden beds: mix into the top 4 inches of soil at 5-10 lb per 100 sq ft.

• Established trees: apply 1 cup per inch of trunk diameter, doubling for trees over 6 inches in trunk diameter.
• Flowers and vegetables: apply 1/4 cup per plant.
• Potted plants: mix 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil, then feed established plants 1 tsp per 3 inches of pot diameter monthly.
• Best applied in spring and fall. 1 lb = 1 cup.
