Triple Crown Low Starch contains no whole grains, molasses or alfalfa meal, ingredients many horse owners associate with hyperactivity and allergies. With fewer carbohydrates than most hay and pasture, this feed provides additional calories for performance horses and horses with elevated levels of metabolism. By utilizing high quality fiber sources and added fat, including rice bran and flaxseed, essential calories are provided while keeping sugar and starch levels low.
IDEAL FOR: Mature horses, ponies, metabolic horses
FEATURES: Whole grain, alfalfa & molasses free, low starch & sugar, lower potassium
HELPS SUPPORT: Metabolic disease, HYPP, allergies, healthy inflammatory response
EnduraCare® for healthy inflammatory response

Triple Crown Low Starch is formulated to provide balanced nutrition while maintaining a lower starch content, making it suitable for horses that require controlled carbohydrate intake. This feed can be offered to horses one year of age and older and should be fed alongside adequate forage such as hay or pasture to support digestive health and maintain proper body condition.
For a 600-pound horse, feed approximately 3 to 4 pounds of Triple Crown Low Starch per day along with 9 to 12 pounds of hay or pasture. A 900-pound horse generally requires about 4 to 9 pounds daily, together with 13.5 to 18 pounds of forage to maintain proper fiber intake and digestive balance.
Horses weighing around 1,100 pounds typically require approximately 5 to 11 pounds of Triple Crown Low Starch per day, along with 16.5 to 22 pounds of hay or pasture. For larger horses weighing about 1,300 pounds, the recommended feeding range is approximately 6 to 13 pounds per day, while maintaining 19.5 to 26 pounds of forage in the diet.
These feeding recommendations are based on average daily nutritional requirements. Individual horses may require adjustments depending on age, activity level, metabolism, weather conditions, and forage quality. Feed enough to maintain the horse’s desired body condition and energy level. The amount of Triple Crown Low Starch can be increased or decreased as needed based on the horse’s nutritional needs.
If you feed less than the recommended daily amount, the diet should be supplemented with a Triple Crown Balancer, Balancer Gold, Diamond Balancer, or Triple Crown Lite to ensure that the horse receives adequate vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
Although Triple Crown Low Starch is formulated as a complete feed and can replace part or all of the fiber portion of the diet, it is strongly recommended to continue providing long-stem hay or pasture whenever possible to support normal chewing behavior and digestive function.
When feeding, divide the total daily ration into multiple meals. Do not feed more than 0.5% of the horse’s body weight in Triple Crown Low Starch in a single meal. If feeding at this level, allow at least 3 to 4 hours between meals to support proper digestion and reduce the risk of digestive upset.
Always provide plenty of fresh, clean water and ensure horses have access to salt as part of their daily nutrition. Store the product in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness and nutritional quality. Inspect the feed regularly and do not feed if the product is old, moldy, or contaminated with insects, as this may pose health risks to the animal.
Follow label directions carefully. This product contains added copper and should not be fed to sheep.
