Triple Crown Lite is formulated to provide essential vitamins and minerals in a highly palatable, low-calorie feed designed for horses that are easy keepers or prone to gaining excess weight. It helps ensure horses receive balanced nutrition even when consuming small amounts of grain. This feed is particularly suitable for horses that tend to become overweight or for those receiving less than 4 pounds of grain per day.

When feeding Triple Crown Lite, it should be offered alongside adequate forage such as hay or pasture. For a 600-pound horse, feed approximately 1 to 2.5 pounds of Triple Crown Lite per day while providing 9 to 12 pounds of forage daily to support proper digestive function.

A 900-pound horse generally requires about 1.5 to 3 pounds per day, along with 13.5 to 18 pounds of hay or pasture. Horses weighing around 1,100 pounds typically need approximately 2 to 4 pounds daily, while maintaining 16.5 to 22 pounds of forage in the diet.

For larger horses weighing about 1,300 pounds, feed approximately 3.5 to 5 pounds of Triple Crown Lite per day, together with 19.5 to 26 pounds of hay or pasture to ensure adequate fiber intake and digestive health.

Triple Crown Lite is designed to deliver the necessary supplemental minerals and vitamins without promoting excessive calorie intake, making it ideal for horses that maintain weight easily. If a horse requires more than 5 pounds per day of Triple Crown Lite to maintain proper body condition, it is recommended to transition to a Triple Crown performance or senior feed to provide additional energy and nutrition.

General Feeding Guidelines

Feed Triple Crown Lite as part of a balanced diet that includes quality hay or pasture, free-choice salt, and unlimited access to fresh, clean water. Feeding amounts should be adjusted as needed depending on the horse’s age, metabolism, activity level, and environmental conditions.

Store the product in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness and nutritional quality. Check the feed regularly and do not feed if the product is old, moldy, or contaminated with insects, as this may pose health risks to the animal.

Caution

Follow label directions carefully. To prevent excessive intake of vitamins and minerals, do not feed more than 5 pounds of Triple Crown Lite per horse per day. Long-term consumption of excessive mineral or vitamin levels may negatively affect your horse’s health.

Feeding added selenium above 0.30 ppm in the total diet is prohibited. When fed as directed, Triple Crown Lite does not exceed 3 mg of added selenium per horse per day. This product contains added copper and should not be fed to sheep.
