Triple Crown® Complete is designed to provide balanced nutrition for horses and can be fed either alongside hay or pasture or as a complete forage replacement when necessary. Feeding amounts should be based on the horse’s body weight, overall condition, and daily activity level. Monitor your horse regularly and adjust feeding rates as needed to maintain proper body condition and performance.
When horses are able to consume hay or pasture, Triple Crown Complete should be fed as part of a balanced diet that includes adequate forage. For a 600-pound horse, provide approximately 3 to 5 pounds of Triple Crown® Complete per day along with 9 to 12 pounds of hay or pasture to support healthy digestion and fiber intake.
A 900-pound horse typically requires about 4 to 9 pounds of Triple Crown® Complete daily, together with 13.5 to 18 pounds of forage. Horses weighing around 1,100 pounds generally need approximately 5 to 11 pounds per day, along with 16.5 to 22 pounds of hay or pasture.
For larger horses weighing about 1,300 pounds, the recommended feeding range is approximately 6 to 13 pounds of Triple Crown® Complete daily, while maintaining 19.5 to 26 pounds of forage in the diet.
These feeding rates are based on average daily nutritional requirements. Individual horses may require adjustments depending on age, workload, metabolism, weather conditions, and forage quality. Increase or decrease the amount fed as needed to maintain ideal body condition.
If you feed less than the recommended daily amount of Triple Crown Complete, the diet should be supplemented with Triple Crown® Balancer, Balancer Gold, or Diamond Balancer to ensure adequate vitamin and mineral intake.
Triple Crown® Complete can also be used as a complete diet for horses that cannot consume hay or pasture, such as horses with dental problems or those requiring a fully formulated feed.
For horses not consuming forage, a 600-pound horse typically requires approximately 7.5 to 9.5 pounds per day. A 900-pound horse usually needs about 10.5 to 14.5 pounds daily, while an 1,100-pound horse generally requires approximately 13.5 to 17.5 pounds per day.
Larger horses weighing around 1,300 pounds may require approximately 16.5 to 20.5 pounds per day when Triple Crown® Complete is used as the primary feed source.
Divide the total daily amount into multiple meals to promote proper digestion. Do not feed more than 0.5% of the horse’s body weight in a single meal. When feeding larger meals at this level, allow 3 to 4 hours between feedings.
Triple Crown® Complete can easily be converted into an EZ Mash, which is beneficial for horses with poor teeth, respiratory issues, or those prone to choking. To prepare the mash, add approximately 1 cup of water for every 2 to 3 pounds of feed about 10 to 15 minutes before feeding. The amount of water may be adjusted to achieve the consistency preferred by the horse.
Always provide horses with plenty of fresh, clean water at all times. Store the product in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness and nutritional quality. Inspect the feed daily and do not feed if the product is old, moldy, or contaminated with insects, as this may harm the animal.
Follow all label directions carefully. This product contains added copper and should not be fed to sheep.
