  • ‘Cool’ Energy - A sequential release of energy from fat and fermentable fiber provides lower starch calories to meet complex energy demands and help maintain normal digestive health.
  • Built-In Fiber - Fiber sources such as soybean hulls, beet pulp and alfalfa meal may help maintain healthy hind-gut fermentation while providing extra calories in a safe and natural form.
  • Immune Support - Antioxidant nutrients including stable vitamins and biologically available trace minerals help maintain normal health and metabolism.

Sentinel Fiber Pro is a highly versatile textured horse feed containing shredded beet pulp and balanced levels of protein, fat, and fiber from ingredients naturally low in starch and sugar. This feed is designed to support a wide range of horses, including growing horses, performance horses, breeding horses, gestating mares, senior horses, and horses requiring safe, controlled energy nutrition.

Feed Sentinel Fiber Pro according to your horse’s age, body condition, activity level, and forage quality. The feeding rate should always be adjusted to maintain ideal body condition and support performance needs. Horses should also have access to high-quality hay or pasture, free-choice salt, and plenty of fresh, clean water at all times.

For growing horses, yearlings between 12 and 18 months of age may be fed approximately 0.65 to 0.95 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily. Long yearlings between 18 and 24 months generally require 0.60 to 0.85 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight, while 2-year-old horses may be fed 0.55 to 0.70 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight per day.

Adult horses in moderate exercise typically require 0.45 to 0.65 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily. Horses in heavy exercise may require 0.55 to 0.75 pounds, while horses in very heavy exercise or intense performance programs may need 0.65 to 1.20 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight each day to maintain condition and energy levels.

For breeding horses, pregnant mares during the last three months of gestation generally require 0.40 to 0.70 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily. Lactating mares during peak milk production may need 0.75 to 1.10 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight each day, while breeding stallions are commonly fed 0.40 to 0.60 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily.

Senior horses, rescue horses, or horses requiring additional nutritional support may be fed approximately 0.60 to 1.25 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily, especially in feeding programs where forage intake is limited.

The suggested feeding recommendations are based on horses receiving grass hay or mixed grass hay. If feeding legume hay, lush pasture, or feeding below the recommended feeding range, consult your feed representative, veterinarian, or equine nutrition specialist for additional ration guidance.

Because management practices, environment, workload, and breed can influence nutrient requirements, feeding levels may need to be adjusted accordingly.

Caution: Contains added copper. Do not feed to sheep.
