Does Just Kindling: Feed 2–3 oz per doe on the first day. Increase gradually by 1 oz per doe per day to free-choice feeding within 4–5 days.
Lactating Does: Feed free-choice.
Gestating Does: Feed 4–6 oz per doe per day.
Weaned Bunnies: Feed free-choice.
Dry Does & Bucks: Feed 4–6 oz per head per day.
Pellets may be self-fed (available at all times) or hand-fed. Self-feeding is recommended for does with litters and weaned bunnies to reduce labor and support rapid growth. If hand-feeding, feed the same number of times each day at approximately the same time. Monitor body condition and adjust feeding levels as needed.
It is not necessary to feed hay with NatureWise® Rabbit Pellets; however, high-quality hay may be offered if desired. Hay should be fine-stemmed, leafy, green, well-cured, and free from mold or mildew. Suitable hays include alfalfa, clover, sweet clover, lespedeza, soybean, and peanut hay. Cutting hay into 3–4 inch lengths helps reduce waste.
Provide plenty of fresh, clean water and salt blocks or salt spools at all times.
