Scotts EZ Seed Dog Spot Repair Sun & Shade uses a special salt-neutralizer formula that minimizes the effects of salts from dog urine and repairs up to 100 dog spots in your lawn. It combines high-performance Perennial Ryegrass, Fine Fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass seed with expanding mulch, a soil amendment that helps repair burned areas, a tackifier to keep seed from washing away, and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe.

There are three easy steps: prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, evenly apply so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and saturate with water until the seed turns dark brown. Water again when it begins to turn light brown. Plant in spring or fall when soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures between 60°F and 80°F.
