It works best with all types of outdoor container plants, including flowers, shrubs, vegetables, annuals, and perennials. To use, choose a pot with a drain hole and fill it about one-third full with mix, loosen your plant's root ball and set it in the pot, then add more mix and press lightly. Water the plant and let it drain, allowing the mix to dry to the touch between waterings. One 50 qt. bag fills about three 12-inch containers, and container plants should be repotted annually to avoid soil compaction and replenish nutrients.
